Tinsukia District Committee of Assam Tea Tribes Students’ Association leader arrested

DOOMDOOMA: Police arrested the president of the Tinsukia District Committee of Assam Tea Tribes Students’ Association (ATTSA), Jagat Nayak and one of his associates named Amar Teli on Sunday.

According to police, Jagat Nayak along with two of his associates named Amar Teli and Ramen Das, beat up one Suresh Orang of Talap Tenga Gaon under Talap Out Post (OP) of Doomdooma PS recently. Suresh lodged an FIR at Talap OP. Police summoned the trio after receiving the FIR. But they did not respond. Consequently, police arrested Jagat Nayak and Amar Teli. Another accused Ramen Das is still absconding. Further interrogation is on.
