TINSUKIA: The Tinsukia District Congress Committee (TDCC), while questioning Modi government’s refusal to constitute a Joint Parliament Committee to look into serious allegations of wrongdoing by the Adani Group, demanded a high-level inquiry.

At a press meet at Congress Bhavan, Tinsukia on Wednesday, the president of TDCC, Pranab Baruah demanded equal and fair participation of all stakeholders in the governance without being bias towards any specific group. He cited that the Adani Group presently controls 13 ports and terminals which represented 30 per cent of India’s ports capacity and 40 per cent of total container volume. With the collapse in stock prices following publication of alleged financial irregularities, the Ministry of Finance admitted that Adani Group was under scanner for violating SEBI regulation, Baruah said in the press meet.
