Tinsukia MLA Sanjay Kishan Flagged off Poshan Abhiyaan Rally

TINSUKIA: Tinsukia MLA Sanjay Kishan flagged off the rally on Poshan Abhiyaan as a part of the month-long program to create awareness on holistic nutrition from the office of the Deputy Commissioner of Tinsukia on Thursday in presence of a large number of Anganwadi workers, Social Welfare officials, ICDS and senior officials of the district administration, including DC of Tinsukia, Oinam Sarankumar Singh.

Speaking on the occasion, the MLA said that the government had taken necessary action to provide nutritious food to pregnant women and children and had encouraged women to undertake cultivation of vegetables and fruits. Bhaskar Borah, EAC and facilitating officer, elaborated the events of the month-long program.
