TINSUKIA: The number of COVID-19 positive cases is increasing at an alarming proportion in Tinsukia district. With eight cases detected on Sunday and additional 12 cases on Monday, the number of COVID-19 positive cases has spiked to 342.

The cases detected on Sunday were Ranjana Gogoi (21), Prasenjit Dutta Choudhury (53), Biswajit Gogoi (34), Paklu Majhi (51), Asha Devi (48), Shibani Barman (26), S Janak Rao (58) and Dipak Verma (24) while Ashish Mittal (42), Rajendra Prasad Agarwal (65), Bikash Beria (40), Brij Mohan Goel (58), Sunil Paul (58), Raju Ram (25), Munin Phukan (56), Napolean Chetia (21), Sushil Agarwal (28), Suresh Agarwal (59) and Ranju Das (24) tested positive on Monday.
