Tinsukia Zila Xahitya Xabha organizational poll process begins

DOOMDOOMA: The organizational election process of the Tinsukia Zila Xahitya Xabha (TZXX) for the term 2023-2025 began on from Sunday, Dr Girish Handique, the chief of the three-member electoral committee, has said.

The committee would conduct the election process for the TZXX president, vice president and secretary. Handique stated that all election activities would take place at the TZXX's Jugal Kishore Keshan Bhawan in Makum.

The permanent members of the Axam Xahitya Xabha (AXX) under the Zila Xabha can contest for any of the three posts as per the constitution of the AXX.

The election process has started and the submission and examination of forms would be held on December 2. The date for withdrawal of nomination is December 5, the date for announcement of the list of candidates is December 6, the dates for distribution of ballots to branches is December 7 to December 11, and the dates for voting by branches is December 12 to December 17.

The ballot papers containing votes will be submitted to the TZXX office on December 18 and would be counted the same evening.
