GUWAHATI: The central government in a major decision increases the toll fees charged to vehicles at the toll plazas in different locations. The newly increased rate will be effective from Friday 1st April 2022.

There will be a 15 percent hike in toll fees as per the decision by the NHAI (National Highway Authority of India) responsible for the management of national highway networks in the country.

In Assam, many of the toll plazas like Sonapur Toll Gate and Raha Toll Gate will charge higher toll fees under the revised new rates by the NHAI.

As per reports the Sonapur Toll Gate in Lomati Gaon of Nazirakhat will now charge Rupees 130 for a single journey from cars, vans, jeeps and light motor vehicles that previously paid Rupees 115 as toll tax.

The toll rate for light good vehicles, minibus and light commercial vehicles has been increased from Rupees 185 to Rupees 205 for a single journey. The toll rate for 2 axles trucks and buses has been increased from Rupees 395 to 430 for a single journey.

The toll fee for commercial vehicles registered within the district (car, jeep, van, the light motor vehicle) has been increased from Rs 60 to 65 for a single journey. The fee for commercial vehicles and minibus has been increased from Rs 95 to Rs 105.

The Raha Toll Gate in the National Highway number 37 located in Khaigarh will now charge Rupees 110 for cars, jeeps, vans, light motor vehicles which currently pay Rupees 95 for a single journey.

The toll fee for light commercial vehicles and light goods vehicles has been increased from Rs 150 to Rs 175 for a single journey as per the revised toll tax. The fee has been increased from Rs 315 to Rs 370 for two axles buses and trucks.

The toll charges for the commercial vehicles registered within the district (car, jeep, van, the light motor vehicle) has been increased from Rs 45 to 55 for a single journey while it is increased from Rs 75 to Rs 90 for light commercial vehicles and light goods vehicles.

The Madanpur Toll Gate in the Baihata road of Guwahati will charge Rupees 125 from Friday 1st April from cars, jeeps, vans, light motor vehicles that pay Rs 110 at present for a single journey.

The toll tax has been increased from Rs 180 to Rs 200 for light commercial vehicles, light goods vehicles for a single journey and it is increased from Rs 380 to Rs 420 for 2 axles trucks and buses.

The toll charge for the commercial vehicles registered within the district (for car, jeep, van, the light motor vehicle) has been increased from Rs 55 to 60 for a single journey while the fee increases from Rs 90 to Rs 100 for light commercial vehicles and light goods vehicles.

The Doboka Toll Gate in Nagaon will now charge Rupees 90 from cars, jeeps, vans, light motor vehicles that earlier paid Rupees 75 for a single journey

The toll tax has been increased from Rs 125 to Rs 185 for commercial vehicles, light goods vehicles for a single journey and it is increased from Rs 260 to Rs 305 for two axles buses and trucks.

The toll tax for the commercial vehicles registered within the district has been increased from Rs 40 to 45 while it is been increased from Rs 60 to Rs 70 for light commercial vehicles and light goods vehicles.
