BONGAIGAON: "All trade unions and federations will stage a nationwide demonstration on November 26. This demonstration will be against the anti-labour policy of Narendra Modi-led BJP government," said Ashish Biswas, joint general secretary of N F Railway Mazdoor Union in Bongaigaon on Sunday.

He said this in a joint convention of all trade unions and federation of Bongaigaon and Chirang district held in Bongaigaon where several noted leaders including Hareswar Das, district president CITU, Sankar Prasad Ray, Bongaigaon district president, Indian National Congress, Jyotirmoy Baisya , president, Youth Congress, Bongaigaon, Prafulla Sutradhar, Bongaigaon district president, Purbanchaliya Rail Karmi Parishad, Mathura Das, State secretary, All India Road Transport Workers Federation among other were present.

Addressing the mass Biswas said that the demonstration is against price hike, privatization of public sectors like BSNL, Bank, Airport, Railway , Electricity sector etc, demand for old pension scheme for all employees etc. "This government is working only for the interest of Corporate houses and against the common people. We shall never let it succeed and continue our agitation," he said.

Sankar Prasad Ray in his speech alleged that the BJP is playing communal politics. "This is very dangerous for a nation. They are not working for development, just playing communal game to gain vote," he said.
