Training and Practice for Various Games under Nagaon Sports Association

NAGAON : The sports session for the current year of Nagaon Sports Association (NSA) will start from April 1. The events for the session will be inaugurated by former athlete Muruli Sarma.

Those who are willing to participate in their respective sports and games under the association can renew as well as can take admission for coaching and practices for the session at Nagaon Nurul Amin Stadium, a release added.

Speaking to some local media persons here, Plaban Boruah, secretary of Nagaon Sports Association, said that with a day-long agenda, the session will be start with various events of athletics in the morning session on April 1. During the inaugural programme, NIS coach Priyatam Singh will lead the practice as well as training on various events and also will conduct a series of compititions among the trainees and participants in the evening.

Significantly, the swimming practice as well as various events of swimming at Nagaon swimming pool will also start from April 1 onwards for the session after it is being off for over three years, he said. Besides, people who are interested for swimming in Nagaon swimming pool during leisure time can contact Nagaon Sports Association on or before April 10, 2022 for details, Boruah added further.
