DIBRUGARH: The regional office of the National Statistical Office (NSO) organized a three-day Regional Training Camp on annual survey of unincorporated sector enterprises (ASUSE) for enumerators and supervisors which concluded recently.

Officers and Field staff from NSO office of Itanagar, Tezpur and Jorhat participated in the training camp. The master trainers were Dr KM Singh, Deputy Director General, SC Das, senior statical officer, and Anuj Kumar Das, ASUSE, covered all unincorporated non-agricultural establishments belonging to three sectors of manufacturing trade and other services.

The services will provide a reliable and comprehensive data pertaining to unincorporated sector, which help different ministries and organizations in planning and policy formulation.

Dr KM Singh, during the inaugural session, emphasized the importance of the survey as the incorporated sectors contribute significantly to the country's GDP and comprehensive data on this sector is required by various stakeholders. Dr Singh informed that this survey would help national accounts. He appealed to all households and establishments visited by the field staff of NSO to extend full support and cooperation to them.
