Training held on soft skills development in tourism sector in Kokrajhar

KOKRAJHAR: The Tourism department of BTC flagged off a scheduled 10-day skill development training programme from Monday with the tourism stakeholders to comprehend the current need, importance, challenges affecting the skill gap in terms of soft skills in tourism and hospitality sector in BTR and to overcome them.

The department has taken the initiative to motivate the team, to network and to manage client relationships which is crucial to the tourism and hospitality sector. To have a first-hand knowledge of the activities, a two-day interactive field visit is also proposed to be undertaken during this 10- day session.

The programme was graced by Dharma Narayan Das, EM, Tourism department, BTR, in the conference hall of the office of the Director-cum-CHD, Tourism department, Kokrajhar.
