Training of Charge Assistants and technical assistants for census 2021 held in Tezpur

Tezpur: A two-day training of Charge Assistants and Technical Assistants for the upcoming census 2021 held at the conference hall of the Deputy Commissioner’s office concluded on Tuesday. A group of officials from the Directorate of Census Operations, Assam comprising of Assistant Directors Bhupen Borpujari and Rupchand Ali, senior supervisor Ranjita Sarma imparted a detailed training on the various aspects of the census to all present. Altogether 27 Charge Assistants and 11 technical assistants attended the two-day training programme.

Attending the training on the first day, Deputy Commissioner Manvendra Pratap Singh directed all officials present to ensure an error-free enumeration as a correct database would help the government in effective planning and implementation of policies meant for the welfare of the people. He also stressed use of smartphones for the enumeration process as it would reduce the workload of the enumerators to a large extent.

The Deputy Commissioner also directed the officials to make the most out of the two-day training and clear any doubts they have with the master trainers as they will play a significant role in the census operation.

The workshop was inaugurated on Monday by Additional Deputy Commissioner and District Census Officer Rohan Jha who spoke on the importance of census operations carried out by the government and asked the officials engaged to carry out their works sincerely.
