Training on Cigarette and Other Products of Tobacco Act (COPTA) conducted

KOKRAJHAR: The District Tobacco Control Cell, Kokrajhar on Saturday conducted training on Cigarette and Other Products of Tobacco Act (COPTA), 2003 in the SP conference hall, Kokrajhar to train police personnel of the district. In the training Prateek Thube, Superintendent of Police, Kokrajhar, Surjit Singh Paneswar, Additional SP, Kokrajhar, all the O/Cs and ICs of all police stations of the district were present. Dr Kaushik Das, District Nodal Officer, Tobacco Control Cell Kokrajhar and Dr Wassim Akhtar Bari were the speakers. After the training, Dr Kaushik Das said, "Now onwards enforcement against COPTA Act violators will be done throughout the district to create tobacco-free Kokrajhar in the coming days."
