DHUBRI: A three-day training programme on “National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) Preparedness and National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 Implementation in Colleges of Assam’ which was organized in BN College, Dhubri concluded on Friday under the sponsorship of Rashtriya Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan (RUSA) 2.0 and in collaboration with UGC-Humane Resource Development Centre, Gauhati University.

The programme was attended by principals, co-ordinators and members of IQACs, members of NEP Task force of various colleges, namely, Alamgang Rangamati College, Dhubri Girls’ College, Hatidhura College, Hamidabad College, Pramathesh Baruah College, Sapatgram College and Dharmasala College. The programme started with the welcome address of Dr. Dhruba Chakrabortty, Principal, B N College, Dhubri and was inaugurated by Dr. Tabassum Rizvi, Assistant Professor, UGC-HRDC, GU.

Dr. Dhruba Chakrabortty, Principal, B N College, Dhubri, Dr. Susmita Sen Gupta, Coordinator-IQAC, B N College, Dhubri and Mr. Biswajit Kalita, Coordinator-IQAC, Suren Das College, Hajo acted as the resource person and shared their knowledge and information about NEP 2020 and NAAC guidelines.

Government of Assam has directed all the colleges of Assam to get accredited by NAAC and an Office Memorandum has been adopted by the government to implement NEP-2020 from the academic session 2023-24. The awareness programme has been organized to sensitize the principals and teachers on the process of implementation of NEP-2020 as well.
