DOOMDOOMA: The Tinsukia District Samagra Shiksha organised a three-day training programme on the topic 'Menstrual Hygiene Management & Reproductive Health in School' at Makum Hindi School recently. On the first two days, training was imparted to the teachers of the Secondary schools of the district while on the last day training was imparted to the CRCCs.
The training which was held under the supervision of the District Programme Officer of Samagra Shiksha, Tinsukia, Linuma Gogoi, was inaugurated by the Inspector of Schools, Tinsukia District Circle, Bitupon Hazarika. The inaugural session was also addressed by the Principal of Makum G. B. Chowkhani H. S. School Nilakhi Dutta, the headmaster of Makum Hindi School Gorakh Nath Yadav and the District Programme Officer Arati Das Baruah.
The nutrition consultant of Tinsukia Civil Hospital Nibedita Moran and a teacher of Sarajubala Memorial School Nandita Chakraborty Gogoi imparted training in the programme as resource persons. The participants also prepared TLMs related to the topic during the training. Altogether 91 teachers from 91 secondary schools across the district and 90 CRCCs participated in the training.
