Transport Department of Government of Assam launched Display van

NAGAON: With an aim to create awareness regarding road safety measures and minimizing road accidents, the Transport Department of Government of Assam has introduced Display Vans across 12 vulnerable districts of the state especially during the Durga Puja festivities. One such Display Van arrived at Nagaon on Saturday and shall be displaying messages of responsible and safe driving practices at various puja pandal areas.

As informed by MVI Bishal Debnath on the first day itself the van shall visit around 10 locations in the district. He further informed that the Display Van shall be promoting the messages of road safety across the district for a period of seven days. The Display Van played many messages regarding road safety including messages against drinking and driving, wearing of seat belt and helmet etc. so that we can minimize road accidents.
