JORHAT: Over several hundreds of Tulsi plants were distributed to the pedestrians and passersby of Jorhat at three different places by Juko Valley, Roktokonika and Bir Lachit Xena, Asom and handed over a plant to each and every one. The members from the three organizations suggested they to plant tulsi, said Ananta Dutta, a member from Juko Valley here on Friday.
Moreover, Kati Bihu is being celebrated for the past 11 years at the Bidyut Bhawan, Jorhat with great enthusiasm and gaiety. Binod Kumar Pipersean, former chief secretary, Government of Assam along with Dipankar Dihingia, APDCL officer on special duty, Bijuli Bhawan, Guwahati were present at a prayer meeting attended by a priest from Gurudwara, Catholic Church, Zila Namghar, Buddha Bihar, Marwari Thakurbari, Tarajan Mosque, etc.
