GUWAHATI: It is a moment of pride for the state of Assam that two students from the state have successfully cracked the examinations of UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) and CAPF (Central Armed Police Forces) for Assistant Commandants (ACs).
One male and one female student from Assam had qualified for the UPSC CAPF (ACs) 2021 Exam. The two candidates who cracked the UPSC CAPF ACs are namely Neha Bora and Ratul Roy.
Ratul Roy is a resident of Pathsala town of the Bajali district of Assam and Neha Bora is from Tezpur.
While talking to the media, Ratul Roy shared about his success and mentioned that much dedication towards study is required to crack such types of tough civil service examinations. He added that the aspirants need to be completely devoted to their studies if wishes to crack the exams.
Neha Bora from Tezpur not just made the state proud but also brought laurel for hometown by securing 52nd position in the civil service examination. According to reports she had earlier appeared and even cracked the UPSC examination but she failed the health examination because of being overweight and was unable to pass but this time she has lost her weight and qualified for all the levels of test.
Neha wishes to become an IPS officer because both her parents, father Topeswar Bora and mother Mina Das Bora are employees of paramilitary forces of the country.
Her mother Mina Das is at present serving as the DC (Deputy Commissioner) of CRPF (Central Reserve Police Force) and as Neha is also qualified after cracking UPSC CAPF (ACs) she is expected to work along with her mother.
In the year 2021, the UPSC CAPF (ACs) was conducted for a total of 209 vacancies for Assistant Commandants (ACs) Posts in the Central Armed Police Forces. A total of 187 candidates were selected in the UPSC CAPF (ACs) exam.
