DIBRUGARH: Sensation has been brewing following recovery of two bodies in two different places of the town.

The local people saw a body floating in the drain of Rodali Road in Chowkidinghee. On receipt of the information, police rushed to the site and recovered the body. With the recovery of the identity card found in a money bag of the deceased, the body was later identified by the police as Debesh Bhattacharjee, a resident of Naliapool Railway colony and a Science teacher of Rabindra Vidyapith Girls' High School, Karbi Anglong.

Police sent the body to AMCH for postmortem. Talking to media persons, police stated that the reason of the death could only be ascertained after post mortem. The second body, a 55-year old man, was found on the footpath of Gangapara near the Circuit House. Passersby noticed the body and informed the police. Police recovered the body and sent it to Assam Medical College for postmortem.
