Two books authored by renowned writer Sunil Gohain inaugurated by Tinsukia Zilla Sahityasewi Mancha

TINSUKIA: Two books authored by renowned writer Sunil Gohain were inaugurated in a book release function organized by Tinsukia Zilla Sahityasewi Mancha (TZSM) at Tinsukia on Sunday. The event was chaired by TZSM president Atul Bordoloi. The working president of TZSM, Pranati Baruah delivered the welcome address.

The first book titled ‘Dhakuwakhanar Madhur Smriti Aru Anyannya’ was inaugurated by retired district commissioner, actor and dramatist Lakshminandan Gogoi and the second book ‘Mayamora Samaj Sanskriti Aru Bhakti Andolan’ was inaugurated by retired principal of DHSK College and writer Dr Joykrishna Mahanta. Both the books were published by TZSM. Earlier, the author of the books Sunil Gohain addressed the gathering and spoke about the books.

The programme was addressed by the Xatradhikar of Sri Sri Mayamora Dinjoy Xatra, Mukulananda Goswami as guest of honour. The former vice-chancellor of Tezpur University and renowned writer Dr Madan Sarma, former TZSM president Atul Chandra Sharma, senior journalist Amulya Khataniar, retired professor Prafulla Gogoi and TZSM vice-president and writer Sarat Chandra Chiring Phukan also spoke a few complimentary words in the programme which was anchored by TZSM secretary Pallab Sharma.
