Two cattle smugglers apprehended by troops of Border Security Force of Guwahati Frontier

GUWAHATI: In different operations, troops of Border Security Force of Guwahati Frontier apprehended two cattle smugglers along with 6 cattle heads on the intervening night of Thursday from bordering areas of Jhalachar and Chowkichar of South Salmara district in Mankachar, stated a press release.

In the first incident, acting on a tip off, on Thursday night, BSF troops apprehended one cattle smuggler from Jhalachar border outpost while he was trying to smuggle the cattle from India to Bangladesh. Apprehended cattle smuggler has been identified as Saju Mia, (21yrs), resident of Panatipara, Jhalachar under Mankachar Police Station, of South Salmara district. He has been handed over to Mankachar Police Station for further legal action.

Meanwhile, BSF troops apprehended another cattle smuggler along with 5 cattle from Chowkichar border outpost, while he was trying to smuggle the cattle from India to Bangladesh. Apprehended cattle smuggler has been identified as Mozibor Rahman, (22yrs), resident of VPO Motakhawa of South Salmara district. He has been handed over to Sukhchar Police Station for further action.
