Baksa: Two persons died and one person was seriously injured at Nagrijuli in the last three days in separate road mishaps. On Tuesday, one person was seriously injured when a broiler carrier van hit him at Khatarbari under Nagrijuli Police Outpost on the Tamulpur-Nagrijuli- Udalguri road in Baksa district. The person has been identified as Girindra Das of Gudwambosti village under Nagrijuli Police Outpost. According to eye witnesses, Girindra was walking towards his house from Nagrijuli market and when he reached Khatarbari Chowk, a speeding broiler carrier van hit Girindra from behind and he was seriously injured.

A team of police led by ASI Prafulla Brahma rushed to the spot. Girindra was taken to Tamulpur PHC and after providing primary treatment, he was referred to GMCH for better treatment. On the other hand, the broiler carrier van managed to escape from the spot after the accident. Later, on the basis of information of Nagrijuli police, Rangia Police seized the broiler carrier van.

One person named Dhena Hasda was killed in a road accident on Monday evening at Tebitola on the Tamulpur-Nagrijuli-Udalguri road. Dhena was hit by an unidentified Scorpio followed by an escort car. The Scorpio managed to escape from the spot towards Tamulpur.

Another person named Sanjeev Das from Rangia was killed on Sunday evening on the Tamulpur-Nagrijuli-Udalguri road near Balti River under Nagrijuli Police Outpost. Sanjeev was a fish trader and while he was coming towards Tamulpur, an i10 car hit him and he was seriously injured. Sanjeev died on the way to the hospital.
