Two Married Women Elope With Lovers In Assam's Lakhimpur District

Guwahati: Two married women have allegedly eloped with their lovers leaving their families behind in Assam's Lakhimpur district.

According to reports, the incident was reported from Bongalmara Naharani village in Lakhimpur.

The reports also claimed that the incident has caused widespread discontent and outrage amongst the women in the village.

The one woman has been identified as Abhijit Saikia's wife, who is a mother of two children and eloped with her lover one week back.

In a similar incident, another woman from the same village eloped with her secret lover on Sunday leaving her 5-year-old son. Her husband has been identified as Pabitra Bora.

After the incident, both the husbands filed a complaint with the Bongalmara police outpost after finding their wives missing.
