Two meritorious students Munmi Deka and Bijoy Das, felicitated at Jamugurihat HSS premises

JAMUGURIHAT: Munmi Deka and Bijoy Das, two meritorious students of Jamuguri HSS who have passed the recently declared NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) examination were felicitated by the school authority in a public meeting held at Jamugurihat HSS premises with Jiban Bora, principal of higher secondary in the chair on Friday.

Sootea MLA Padma Hazarika-cum-president of the School Management of Development Committee (SMDC) and Deva Kumar Mishra, commissioner of Sonitpur district graced the grand felicitation programme as guests. The meritorious students were felicitated with citation, gamosa along with their parents Arati Deka and Dulal Das. Cheques of 25 thousand donated by Mrinal Tamuli, an eye specialist were handed over to both of the students. Munmi Deka and Bijoy Das have been selected for admission into Lakhimpur Medical College and Diphu Medical College respectively. The felicitation programme was addressed by Sootea MLA Padma Hazarika and District Commissioner of Sonitpur Deva Kumar Mishra respectively. Nitumani Bora, senior teacher of Jamuguri HSS conducted the proceedings of the meeting which was attended by dignitaries, retired teachers, guardians, teachers and the students.
