Two murder accused arrested by Tinsukia Police

TINSUKIA: Tinsukia Police led by DSP Hq Bitul Chetia finally nabbed two absconders- Depanjal Chetia (25) of Na-Motapung and Mahananda Chetia (24) of Hatijan - who are allegedly the prime accused in the gruesome murder of Jeky Baigar, a night guard of Betjan TE owned by Gilianders Arbutnot & Co. The murder of Baigar and subsequent recovery of his mutilated body evoked strong protest by ATTSA in the district resorting to road blockade and district bandh. The murder that was committed on the night of June 22 was a fallout of quarrel among five night guards. While Abhinanda Borah and Jokol Moran were arrested on the following day, both Depanjal and Mahananda were at large.
