Two NDFB (S) Linkmen held with arms and ammunition in Udalguri

MANGALDAI/TANGLA: In a major achievement, Udalguri Police and 14 Garhwal Rifles jointly operating in Udalguri and Darrang districts, on Sunday evening arrested two linkmen of NDFB (S) and recovered two sophisticated pistols and ammunition from their possession.

Talking to The Sentinel, DIGP of BTAD, Satya Raj Hazarika, who has been camping at Udalguri, said that said that a team of Udalguri Police led By Subdivisional Police Officer of Bhergaon, Nirmal Ghosh and Officer in-charge of Harisinga Police Station, Sub-Inspector Dipak Das and troops of the army on Sunday evening at about 6.25 pm, based on specific input conducted an operation at Santipur area under Harisinga Police Station.

During the operation, two linkmen of NDFB(S) -Fungkha Narjary (23), son of Akan Narjary and Prasen Daimary (35), son of Chandramal Daimary - both of village - No 1 Pub Khoirabari (Santipur) in Udalguri district were apprehended. The police recovered one pistol of 9mm calibre along with seven live ammunition and one .22 pistol with several rounds of ammunition and two mobile phones from their possession.
