GOLAGHAT/NUMALIGARH: Two persons tested positive for COVID-19 on Monday.
In a tweet on Monday afternoon, State Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said, "Alert ~ 2 persons have tested COVID-19 positive in Golaghat."
As per report, two persons - Utpal Bora and Rupam Bora - who were kept in the quarantine centre at Kohora in Bokakhat of Golaghat district, have tested positive. Both youths are from Choraimari village of Kachamari under Merapani in the district of Golaghat. Both are siblings and they had come from Chennai and arrived at Kohora on May 14. They were put in the quarantine centre at Kohora and their swab samples were taken for testing.
On Monday, the result of the swab test came positive. Earlier, nine people had tested positive for COVID-19 in Golaghat district. Later, the patients were discharged from the hospital after recovery.
