Two Rhino Poachers held in Kaziranga National Park

Biswanath Chariali: Based on secret information that some rhino poachers were keeping arms with the intention to poach a rhino in 6th addition of Kaziranga National Park, an operation was launched on Thursday evening by a joint team of Biswanath Police led by Muzzafar Hussain, APS, Dy.S.P (HQ), Biswanath and Pranjal Baruah, Ranger of Crime Investigation Range of Biswanath Wildlife Division. The team walked a distance of around 4 kms in chapori area by crossing a river and succeeded in apprehending two rhino poachers in Balidubi Chapori (adjacent to 6th addition of KNP). They were identified as Ayub Nabi (22) of Kamargaon, near Seujpur, Biswanath Chariali and Imran Ali of Chilamara, Gingia. From their possession, one rifle along with one magazine were recovered.
