UBPO calls upon Bodo frontal organizations to work unitedly

LAKHIMPUR: The UBPO (United Bodo People's Organization) has called upon the Bodo frontal organizations to work for the well-being of the community. In this connection, the organization has appealed to the organizations concerned to give up their differences of opinion and political interest.

Further, the UBPO has called upon the Bodo frontal organizations to be united following the ideology of Bodofa Upendra Nath Brahma and to dedicate themselves in the formation process of a strong Bodo community so that it could acclaim name and fame in the international platform.

In this context, UBPO has strongly opposed the split in the All Bodo Students' Union (ABSU). UBPO termed ABSU as the backbone of the Bodo community and stated that the perennial history and glory of ABSU should not be degraded with a split in the organization.

On the other hand, UBPO has extended greetings on the occasion of the Magh Bihu festival to the people of Assam. In this regard, UBPO State president Manoranjan Basumatary and general secretary Pitambar Brahma in a press statement said, "The people of all indigenous communities of Assam must march forward with united effort to ensure the security of their existence, all-round development and progress in the upcoming days."
