SARUPATHAR: The United Bodo People's Organization (UBPO) will organize its 7th annual convention at Uriamghat, Mithinga Nwgwr in Dhansiri subdivision under Golaghat district on February 17, February 18 and February 19.

According to the report, the three-day programme will be attended by over 5,000 delegates from the State and representatives from Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, Tripura, West Bengal, Meghalaya, Nepal, and Bangladesh.

On February 17, the opening of an environment resolution will be led by Rabindra Baghal, CRPF sector commander of C-sector, Uriamghat. Dibakar Nath, (SDO) civil of Dhansiri subdivision, will inaugurate the programme. On February 18, the memorial book Khowhethini Thili, including some other books, will be released by Anil Bodo, head professor, Sanskrit department of Gauhati University. On February 18, State Finance Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma will be the chief guest and Bibhash Ch Modi, Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Golaghat district, will be the special guest of the programme. On February 19, Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal will be the chief guest of the open meeting.
