Udalguri Assam Press Correspondents' Union (APCU) meet held in Tangla

TANGLA: The Assam Press Correspondents' Union (APCU) Udalguri district committee held a general meet of its executive members at the Tangla Sahitya Sabha Bhavan in Tangla town in Udalguri district on Thursday.

The meeting was chaired by president of Udalguri chapter of APCU, Girish Sarma, wherein discussions were held at length on various future objectives of APCU. The members also condoled the demise of Upendra Chandra Deka, father of journalist Narayan Deka.

Working president of Udalguri chapter of APCU, Naba Kumar Deka briefed the gathering on the works carried out by the committee in the past one year. He also spoke on the multiple journalism awards constituted by the committee.

The meeting decided to hold its annual meeting on July 30 at Orang in Udalguri district. The meet was attended by advisor of Udalguri chapter APCU, Imran Hussain, Bapan Sarma, secretary of Bodoland Journalist Association.
