TANGLA: Even though the average pass percentage in the HSLC exam, 2022 conducted by SEBA remained low with 56.49 pass percentage, Udalguri district witnessed abysmally low performance, with only 46.50 percentage managing to pass the exam.
On the other hand, the private sector schools of Tangla town performed above average. A total of 66 out of 93 students of Auxilum Convent, Tangla secured first division with 11 students securing distinction marks and 17 securing star marks. Remarkably, four students secured full marks in Advanced Mathematics and two students secured full marks in General Mathematics while one student secured full marks in English.
Meanwhile, Arunodoi Academy, another private school, had 65 students securing first division, 13 securing distinction marks and 15 securing star marks out of 100 students. A total of 14 students secured cent per cent marks in Advanced Mathematics and five students secured cent per cent marks in General Mathematics.
Another private school, Tangla English Medium High School (TEMHS) had 34 students securing first division, including six students securing distinction marks and eight students securing star marks.
The government schools like Tangla HS School and Tangla Girls' HS School performed abysmally poorly in terms of pass percentage.
