ULFA (I) hardcore cadre Gangadhar Charoh surrenders

GOLAGHAT: ULFA (I) hardcore cadre Gangadhar Charoh alias Ron alias Karuna Axom surrendered on Thursday. According to 142 Bn CRPF sources, Gangadhar Charoh (32), son of Babai Charoh, resident of village Balichapori under Dergaon PS, joined the outfit in 2011 and had undergone arms training in Myanmar. He surrendered before 142 Bn CRPF and the Golaghat Superintendent of Police. According to his statement, during the first week in February this year, Myanmar Army suddenly attacked the Myanmar Taga camp of the ULFA as well as other underground groups of the north-eastern region. All cadres ran from the camp to save their lives.

Karuna Axom fled from the Taga camp two months ago and came home from Nagaland’s Mon district to Sonari in Charaideo district and surrendered on Thursday.
