Assam: PMJAY Ayushman Cards Distributed Among Urban Beneficiaries of Bajali

PATHSALA: Under the Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana-Ayushman Bharat and Chief Minister Jana Arogya Yojana, more than 1,77,931 Ayushman cards were distributed among urban beneficiaries of Bajali.

The card holders will avail free medical health cover under the scheme. At a function held at the Hari Mandir premises in Pathsala on Thursday, 15 cards were ceremonially distributed. The distribution ceremony was attended by Patacharkuchi MLA and cabinet minister Ranjeet Kumar Dass and Bhawanipur MLA Phanidhar Talukdar.

Speaking on the occasion, Ranjeet Kumar Dass said, “Today we distributed Ayushman Cards to beneficiaries of Patacharkuchi and Bhawanipur constituency under Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana. These cards will help give financial assistance to the beneficiaries for medical treatment.”

“A total number of 57,075 beneficiaries have been approved for Patacharkuchi constituency and a total number of 1,20,856 for Bhawanipur constituency. Another 42,328 beneficiaries will get this card in the next phase,” he added.

Among others, Pradeep Kumar Dwivedi, Additional Deputy Commissioner in-charge, Bajali, Ranjit Saloi, Zilla Parishad chairman, Jolly Choudhary, chairman of Pathsala municipality board, including officials of health department were present in the meeting,.
