JAGIROAD: An unidentified body was recovered on a railway track at Ajori under Jagiroad police station on Sunday night. It is suspected that the deceased was hit by a train. Police sent the body to Morigaon Civil Hospital for post-mortem.

On the other hand, a body was recovered in Demow Dehajan Habi Gaon in a water tank last Saturday due to which sensation prevailed in the area.

The deceased has been identified as Rajani Bauri.

According to sources, Rajani Bauri was working as a night chowkidar and was missing since Friday night. The Demow Police reached the incident area and recovered the body and sent it for post mortem.

Earlier this month, sensation prevailed in Itakhola area, to the north of Jamugurihat after the body of one Sanjib Saikia (23) was recovered from Monai sluice gate under Itakhola outpost on Tuesday morning.

Sanjib was the only son of Mohan Saikia, a teacher from No. 2 Itakhola. Sharp cut marks were noticed on the head and right hand of the deceased.
