Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan visits BCPL in Dibrugarh

DIBRUGARH: The Union Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas and Steel, Dharmendra Pradhan visited BCPL on Sunday. During the visit, Pradhan interacted with all senior officials of MoPNG, all CMDs of PSUs under the administrative control of MoPNG in BCPL Guest House, Dibrugarh. He also met Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal in BCPL Dibrugarh.

During the interaction with the senior officials of MoPNG and OIL PSUs, many valuable suggestions were given for improvement of gas availability in the north-eastern region, establishment of downstream industries for development of the region as well as employment opportunities for local youth and also programmes to be taken under skill development for the youth of the region. He also noted the idea of setting of downstream industries in Guwahati in coordination with OIL PSUs for maximum utilization of valuable resources of the north-eastern region.
