United Bodo People's Organization condemns attack on Executive Member of BKWAC

LAKHIMPUR: United Bodo People's Organization (UBPO) has vehemently condemned the attack on Mathura Basumatary, the Executive Member (EM) of Bodo Kachahari Welfare Autonomous Council (BKWAC), who is also the treasurer of the Ex-BLT Welfare Society. Further the UBPO has demanded the Police Department to arrest the culprits immediately and to reward them exemplary punishment. UBPO president Manoranjan Basumatary and general secretary Pitambar Brahma has condemned the incident in strong terms.

"Such violent activities cannot bring peace to the society and cannot resolve any problem. Rather, such incidents will destroy the peaceful environment of the society," said the UBPO president and the general secretary through a press release. They demanded to arrest the culprits involved with the heinous incident and ensure punishment to them.
