Tamulpur: UPPL president and former ABSU president Pramod Boro on Monday submitted his nomination at Tamulpur for the forthcoming BTC election to be held on April 4.
Pramod Boro arrived at the office of the Tamulpur subdivisional officer with former MP UG Brahma, former ABSU leader Rongwra Narzary, retired teacher Prafulla Ch. Mahanta, his wife Parul Bharali Boro and some of his followers. A big rally accompanied Pramod Boro from Matangapar to the office of the Tamulpur subdivisional officer.
Pramod Boro submitted his nomination papers to the Returning Officer. After submission of nomination, Pramod Boro told media persons that people of BTC sought change and a corruption-free BTC. “UPPL will give a corruption-free BTC to the common people where each and every people will be able to enjoy their constitutional rights. People have full faith in UPPL and people of BTC will cast their valuable votes in favour of UPPL,” he said.
On the other hand, Bizit Gwra Narzary, existing EM of BTC, also submitted nomination at Tamulpur for No 26 Darangajuli BTC constituency. More than 8,000 people accompanied him from Darangajuli to Tamulpur. Talking to media persons, Bizit said that he would win the election because of his development work in the constituency.
