UPPL will continue to work for the progress of BTC area: Dy CEM Govinda Basumatary

BONGAIGAON: "The UPPL (United People's Party Liberal) has been focusing on resolving the various issues being faced by the public after it came to the power in BTC (Bodoland Territorial Council)".

This was stated by Dy CEM (Deputy Chief Executive Member) of BTC and Udalguri MLA Govinda Basumatary while laying the foundation stone for the construction of two RCC culverts at the entrance gate of Bhirhangaon High school and also at the playground of Pioneer Club under Bhirhangaon VCDC.

The projects were taken up as part of the '15th Finance Commission' proposals for 2020-2021.

Addressing the public on the occasion, he informed that many roads were being repaired. He also said that with an aim to improve the academic sector in the region, the required infrastructures for educational institutions would be developed soon. On the occasion, a meeting was also held, wherein the local leaders apprised the Deputy CEM of the problems of Bhirangaon area.

The function was attended by Rwngwra Narzary, working president of UPPL, and also other leaders of the political party.
