Various posts lying vacant in Demow Model Hospital-cum-CHC

DEMOW: The Demow Model Hospital-cum-CHC, which is situated in Demow Konwar Dehingia, is providing healthcare to the patients of Thowra constituency. Various posts are lying vacant in Demow Model Hospital-cum-CHC as well as in Demow Block Primary Health Centre.

According to sources, two posts of Senior Medical Officer are lying vacant in Demow Model Hospital while two posts of Senior Medical Officer are lying vacant in Demow CHC. Other posts lying vacant are ­- 2 posts of Medical and Health Officer-1 in Demow CHC, one post of Medical Officer (Ayurvedic) in Demow Model Hospital, one post of Dental Surgeon in Demow Model Hospital, one post of Assistant Matron in Demow Model Hospital, two posts of Ward Boy in Demow Model Hospital and two posts of Ward Boy in Demow CHC, three posts of Ward Girl in Demow Model Hospital and one post of Ward Girl in Demow CHC, one post of Dresser in Demow Model Hospital, one post of Cleaner in Demow Model Hospital and one post of Cleaner in Demow CHC.

Sources added that posts of Health Educator were lying vacant in Demow Block Primary Health Centre along with fourth grade posts in Demow Block Primary Health Centre. Moreover, there is only one gynaecologist in Demow Model Hospital-cum-CHC. The local people and organizations have demanded the State Health Minister to fill up the vacant posts in Demow Model Hospital-cum-CHC and Demow Block Primary Health Centre at the earliest.
