Victim Of The Saki Naka Rape Case Dies During Treatment In Mumbai

Mumbai: On Friday, September 10, a 30-year-old woman was raped by a 45-year-old man in a stationary tempo in the Saki Naka area of Mumbai. The woman was also brutally assaulted with an iron rod by the man.

As per the latest news, the 30-year-old woman had died while undergoing treatment in Mumbai. 

The Saki Naka rape case bears a close resemblance to the Nibhaya rape case in Delhi that shook the whole nation in 2012. The victim of the Saki Naka case had also been brutally assaulted and had an iron rod inserted inside her. 

The accused was soon arrested soon after the incident by the police. He has been identified as Mohan Chouhan and is 45 years old.

In the wee hours of Friday, the police control room had received a call about a man thrashing a woman on Khairani Road. A team from the police force soon rushed to the spot and found the woman bleeding. She was immediately shifted to the civic-run Rajawadi Hospital in Mumbai. 

In other news, a woman from Kerela was gang-raped after she had travelled 300 kilometres to Kozhikode to meet her online friend on Friday.

The woman claimed that she was gang-raped after being drugged. Later, she was dumped near a private hospital.

The woman also alleged that the men are now threatening to leak her videos if she complained to the police.
