GUWAHATI: Nine students of Sankardev Shishu Niketan, under Shishu Shiksha Samiti Assam affiliated by Vidya Bharati Akhil Bharatiya Shiksha Sansthan, have secured top places in the recently announced High School Leaving Certification Examination 2023.
A felicitation programme is organised by Shishu Shiksha Samiti, Assam in the Guwahati Medical College Hospital Auditorium. The Ceremony started with the lighting of lamps and Mangalacharana. The meritorius students and the principals of the Niketans from where 100% candidates passed for the first time and the principals from where all candidates secured first division are honored in this ceremony.
Hriday Thakuriya of Shankardev Shishu Niketan, Dhekiajuli secured first position with 596 marks, Mriganka Bhattacharya of Baharghat SSN third position with 592 marks, Bitopan Das of Barchit Chawdhury Shankardev Shishu Niketan Sarethebari secured fourth position with 591 marks, Nilotpal Mandal of Shankander Shishu Niketan Amolopatty Nagaon secured fifth position with 590 marks, Chandik Das of Shankardev Shishu Niketan, Borka secured sixth position with 589 marks, Plabita Das of Shankardev Shishu Niketan Baghmara and Pijush Nath of Shankardev Shishu Niketan, Bhabanipur secured 7th position with 588 marks each, Arnavjyoti Das of Shankardev Shishu Niketan Ramdia secured 8th position with 587 marks and Barash Barasha Chelia of Shankardev Shishu Niketan Simaluguri with 586 marks.
The awards are presented to the students by the Shishu Shiksha Samiti, Assam at a function held at 11 am in the auditorium of G. M. C. H. The meeting was chaired by Dr. Dibyajyoti Mahanta, the president of the Shishu Shiksha Samiti, Assam.
The event was attended by the Chief guest, Ranuj Pegu, Minister of Education, Government of Assam, Kulendra Kumar Bhagawati, General Secretary of Shishu Shiksha Samiti, Assam, Vidya Bharati North East Region Organising Secretary Dr. Pawan Tiwari and Secretary Dr. Jagdindrea Roychawdhury, Prominent Social worker Rajesh Malpani, Vice Chancellor of Pragjyotishpur University, Dr. Smriti Kumar Singha, Assam Higher Secondary Education Council chairman Rukma Borgohain were present in the programme to inspire the students by their presence.
It is worth mentioning that this year, 9957 students from 337 out of 545 Niketans, under Shishu Shiksha Samiti, Assam appeared in the High School Leaving Certificate Examination. A total number of 9486 students had passed. Pass percentage is 95.27%. There werŠµ 186 Niketans with 100% pass rate and 14 Niketans from where all candidates secured first division.
