DHUBRI: In order to renew and re-affirm the commitment to achieve the goal of promoting integrity, honesty and transparency among the employees of Bongaigaon Refinery, Vigilance Awareness Week (VAW)-2021 themed "Independent India @75 Self Reliance with Integrity" was flagged off by administrating the Integrity pledge.

The pledge was administered in English by SP Baruah, Executive Director & Refinery Head, in Hindi and Assamese by SB Lahkar, Chief General Manager (TS&HSE), and JJ Das Chief General Manager (Technical) respectively to BGRians.

The message from the chairman was read out by George Ishorary, GM I/C (HR) and message from CVC and CVO were read out by Pradeep Pegu, GM (M&C&PJ) and CK Manchey, DGM (Vigilance) respectively.

In adhering to the social distancing norms, the number of in-person participants was restricted and a total no of approx 60 persons joined physically while others joined the event via virtual mode.

During the program a special Integrity themed selfie stand was inaugurated by SP Baruah, ED & Refinery Head. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks from RK Gupta, SVM.

The weeklong Vigilance Awareness Week will be observed with various activities such as slogan and essay competition for employees, online fancy dress competition for children, speech and drawing competition for students of DPS Dhaligaon and BGR HS School and other outreach programmes.

DIBRUGARH: Oil India Limited (OIL) commenced the observance of Vigilance Awareness Week (VAW) 2021 with the taking of the integrity pledge at its various offices on the theme Independent India@75: Self Reliance with Integrity. Resident Chief executive OIL, Prasanta Borkakoty inaugurated the weeklong program of VAW 2021 at OIL's Field Headquarter, Duliajan in presence of various officials of OIL including the officials of Vigilance department. In his inaugural address, Borkakoty said, "OIL has to be vigilant throughout the year and the awareness week is observed every year to remind us of the round-the-clock responsibility. He further added, "The role of the Vigilance department is immense and we must give our best to make OIL a vigilant organization."

Biman Saha, GM (Vigilance) emphasized on taking e-pledge available in CVC's website by all the stakeholders & wide publicity of complaint receiving mechanism under Public Interest Disclosure and Protection of Informers (PIDPI) resolution. As a part of the campaign, OIL also held a webinar titled "Stage-wise Assessment of Integrity Risks in Procurement." Garima Lohani Bhagat, an Indian Revenue Service Officer in the rank of Commissioner of Income Tax was the resource person.

As part of VAW 2021, OIL has planned many outreach activities such as display of hoardings, banners, PIDPI posters, webinar, seminar, quiz, drawing, essay writing & wallpaper design competitions. It will also involve schoolchildren in various events
