Villagers deprived of Individual Household Latrine scheme benefit

Dhekiajuli: Due to the alleged apathy of the Public Health Engineering Department engineers and officers who monitored the implementation of Individual Household Latrine (IHHL) scheme of the Central Government, more and more allegations are coming from the Borsola area under Sonitpur district.

Several villagers from Sirajuli Pather Gaon in Sonitpur district alleged that they did not get any IHHL. The deprived villagers alleged that although they applied for the IHHL scheme, they did not get any response to their application. The villagers of Sirajuli Pather Gaon said that they got information about the scheme's implementation in other parts of Sonitpur district. In this connection, the villagers alleged that their panchayat member was also responsible for their deprivation from the scheme.
