TANGLA: Vishwakarma Puja was celebrated in Tangla town with great enthusiasm. Scores of puja mandaps were set up in Tangla as owners of buses and taxis in the town performed puja in their respective stands.

Visahwakarma Puja was celebrated with pomp and grandeur at the Tangla Motor Sramik Association office in the premises of Bordoloi Bhavan, Tangla. Naam kirtans were also performed on the occasion. Meanwhile, different business establishments and government offices, including the office of Tangla subdivisional irrigation office, Tangla division PHE also celebrated Vishwakarma Puja.

JOYSAGAR: Vishawakarma Puja was celebrated with pomp and gaiety in Sivasagar along with the rest of the State on Monday. All institutions, factories, workshops, garages and printing presses remained closed to celebrate Vishawakarma Puja. In Sivasagar ASTC, APDCL, PWD, PHE and other government offices and Sivasagar ONGC technical cell, grand puja celebrations and cultural functions were held. The idols were submerged in the Dikhow and Desang rivers on Tuesday evening.

DEMOW: Like rest of the year, this year also Vishwakarma Puja was celebrated in various vehicle stands, business establishments, offices of Demow on Monday. The pandals were fully decorated with colourful garlands, flowers and lights. The puja was started by the priest according to the rituals and after the end of the puja, prasad was distributed among the people. On Tuesday morning the idols were taken from the pandals and kept near Demow river.

DHEKIAJULI: Vishwakarma Puja was also celebrated in Dhekiajuli sub-division with great enthusiasm on Monday. In the streets of Dhekiajuli town, several puja mandaps were seen which were erected by the Dhekiajuli auto-rikshaws Association, Dhekiajuli Trucks Association, Dhekiajuli Bus association and others in their respective locations. Several educational institutions, computer centres, motor vehicle garages celebrated the auspicious occasion at their own campuses.
