Guwahati: The Ministry of Railways of Tinsukia Division recently conducted a trial run for the service of a Vistadome coach in a round trip covering the distance between Tinsukia and Dibrugarh and back.
The facilities and other details of the proposed services of the new tourist train was explained to the media persons, tour operators and other stakeholders who were a part of the journey.
This news was shared by the Northeast Frontier Railway on their official Twitter handle. The tweet read, "Tinsukia division @RailMinIndia conducted a trial run for Vistadome coach service from New Tinsukia to Dibrugarh and back. Media persons, tour operators, and other stakeholders were briefed about the facilities and other details of the proposed service, which were well received."
Services of the new tourist Vistadome dome has been started between Guwahati and Haflong last month. This step was taken in an effort to introduce the people of Assam to the beautiful hills and views of the hill district Dima Hasao. Additionally, Haflong has witnessed an increased footfall of tourists ever since the services of the tourist train took off.
