Vivekananda Study Center at BN College in Dhubri inaugurated; lecture organised

DHUBRI: The Vivekananda Study Center of BN College was inaugurated here in the college premises through a ceremonial programme (via the Zoom Platform and Facebook live) on Tuesday by Padmashree Kumari Nivedita Raghunath Bhide — the all-India Vice President of Vivekananda Kendra, Kanyakumari. She was also the resource person of the lecture on 'Education for Man Making' of the lecture series 'Man Making & Nation Building'.
The programme was initiated with the 'Sangyana Suktam' by Dr Mousumi Bhattacharjee followed by the welcome address delivered by the college Principal, Dr Dhruba Chakraborty.
The programme was inaugurated by the former Principal of Pandu College, Dr Bibhas Chandra Das Purkayastha — one of the 'Sangrakshaks' of the 'Bharatiya Shikshan Mondal'.
Dr Purkayastha highlighted the importance of such a programme in the present era.
Kumari Nibedita Bhide enlightened the participants on the prerequisites of education in this age. More than 250 participants attended the programme. The programme concluded with the rendition of the 'Santi Mantra'.
