Wall magazine released in Chabilal Upadhyaya ME School, Jamugurihat

JAMUGURIHAT: In a public meeting held at Chabilal Upadhyaya ME School in the southern part of Jamugurihat with Jatin KC, retired teacher of the school, a wall magazine ‘Kabyashree’ was released by Minku Kalita, young writer and social worker on Friday. Earlier, headmaster Subhash Goutam lit up a ceremonial lamp followed by a chorus and Bhupendra sangeet was performed by Jewel Singh Terang, assistant teacher. Jitu Kumar Nath, an assistant teacher of the school conducted the proceedings of the meeting. A short drama ‘Sankaradeva’ was performed by the students. The drama was inaugurated by dramatist-cum-director Rajiv Borthakur. Addressing the gathering, Borthakur said that his team has been planning to enact the short drama Sankaradeva in all the schools of the state on the auspicious occasion of the 575th birth anniversary of Mahapurush Srimanta Sankardeva next year.
