Water Resources Minister Keshab Mahanta takes stock of departmental works

DEMOW: State Water Resources Minister Keshab Mahanta took stock of the departmental works from the officials of the Water Resource Department as well as from the administration in the office of the Assistant Executive Engineer, Demow Water Resources Subdivision in Demow on Friday.

Kushal Dowari, MLA of Thowra constituency, was also present in the meeting. While interacting with the media persons of Demow on Friday, Keshab Mahanta said that in Konwar Gaon, Borbil and Mahkhuwabari areas, some portions of the embankments were in a poor condition and he had directed the officials concerned to repair the damaged portions of the embankments. He also said that on both sides of Desang River, 45 km each of two embankments on right side and left side were in poor condition and he had asked the officials concerned to make the estimate of the repair work.
