Web portals must maintain rules and regulations: Minister Pijush Hazarika

NAGAON: Minister of Water Resources and DIPRO, as well as the district incharge, Pijush Hazarika on Wednesday visited the office of Deputy Commissioner, Nagaon and attended the review meeting held at the DC's conference hall.

During the meeting, the minister reviewed various developmental schemes being implemented under various departments in the district.

Local MLA Rupak Sarma, Barhampur MLA Jitu Goswami, Deputy Commissioner, Superintendent of Police and other public representatives of the district as well as other officials of district administration were present in the meeting.

While interacting with the local mediapersons here after the meeting, the minister said that the State government will be more strict against criminal. Referring to the web portal media, he also said that the government will not ban those web portals.

These portals must maintain the rules and regulations of Company Act and also register themselves for which government will pass an act soon, Hazarika added.
