Week-long 'Fasal Bima Patshala' programme from April 24 in Nagaon district

NAGAON: The district administration, in association with district agriculture department, will organize 'Fasal Bima Patshala' as well as 'Kishan Bhagdari Parthomikota Hamari', a special programme under Agriculture and Farmers Development Department, Government of India from April 24 to May 1, 2022 across the district like other parts of the country.

Deputy Commissioner of Nagaon, Nisarg Hivare informed this while addressing a press conference at his office conference hall here. He said that the officials of the department concerned as well as the district administration would organize gram sabhas in almost all gram panchayats in the district during the week and try to create awareness about Kishan Credit Cards among those farmers who were getting benefits of Prime Minister Krishan Sanman. During the week, the officials of the district administration and district agriculture department would also discuss how they could avail KCCs from their respective banks.

Around 64, 645 farmers of the district are currently getting the PM Kishan Sanman, sponsored by the Union Government. Along with DC Hivare, District Agriculture Officer Tarun Hazarika, ADC Debajani Chaudhary were also present in the press conference.
